Salesforce to create over a quarter of a million UK jobs

20 Jun 2022

And help train young adults in digital skills

Speaking at the World Tour London event, its UK CEO, Zahra Bahrololoumi has confirmed the UK is a key growth market for the company and that as the digital economy grows, more jobs will be created.

“ Salesforce, and its network of partners and customers in the UK, will alone create 271,700 new jobs by 2026.”

She went on to say that there was a lack of understanding of how accessible digital skills can be and that companies like Salesforce had a duty to provide training opportunities. One way Salesforce does this is through its free online learning tool, Trailhead, which empowers people to learn new technology and business skills and improve their existing ones.

The company is committed to supporting those from under-represented backgrounds through its apprenticeship programme and by awarding grants to Ada (the National College for Digital Skills and the charity, Leadership Through Sports & Business (LTSB).

Through its $500,000 grant, Ada will deliver a two-year project to attract and support young adults from underserved backgrounds in London and Manchester with high-quality entry-level apprenticeships.

LTSB’s $400,000 grant will enable it to launch a three-year initiative that supports 70 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through legal and marketing apprenticeships.
